Yoga in the Workplace

Yoga in the workplace for health and well being or for work life balance is an effective way to combat stress, anxiety and depression. Mental health issues are a growing public health concern and introducing workplace intervention by way of health and well being promotion can positively affect employee health. 
Yoga offers many physical and mental benefits including reduced stress, increased energy levels, greater focus and freedom in movement. Yoga can help reduce neck, shoulder and back pain from repetitive stress injuries or postural imbalances that occur from long periods of sitting at a desk/computer. Improved problem solving skills, reduced absenteeism and improved morale and performance are just a few more benefits of Yoga at work. A short class first thing in the morning before starting your working day or at lunchtime can make a real difference.
If you would like to introduce Yoga into your workplace please get in touch to discuss how this might work best for you. The options are:
  • a 30-minute early morning Yoga practice designed to refresh and revitalize body and mind before the normal working day begins

  • a 30 or 45-minute lunchtime Yoga practice to re-energize, refresh and refocus activity for the remainder of the day

Designed around Yoga postures that can be performed in comfortable work attire, no mat or previous experience of Yoga is required. (However, a  full yoga mat class is an option).

All that is required is some commitment to do something positive for your employees and for own well being.
